What will the apprentice be doing?

Assembly Technician:

  • Assembly operations (depending on role)
  • Operational planning
  • Team working and team management
  • Ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered to

Manufacturing Technician:

  • CNC Turning and Milling
  • Gear Hobbing, grinding and manufacture
  • Multi Axis Turn / Mill / Hob Lathes
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Understand and apply all company quality procedures
  • Ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered to

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering
    (Foundation Competence)
  • BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (Foundation Knowledge)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Engineering (Developmental
    Competence / NVQ)
  • End Point Assessment (EPA)

  • Manual handling
  • Health and Safety Essentials

  • Fire Awareness

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the apprenticeship and training, the candidates will have the opportunity to further their careers in the assembly or manufacturing areas, with the potential through further development to progress to senior technician and ultimately team leader in a highly prestigious, motorsport environment.
