What will the apprentice be doing?

Daily duties will include:

  • Food preparation.
  • Cooking for large groups.
  • Serving food in our various venues.
  • Ensuring our kitchens are clean.
  • Ensuring food hygiene.
  • Understanding dietary requirements.
  • Barista bar work.
  • Front and back of house housekeeping.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Production Chef Level 2 Standard.
  • Full on the job training and support from your team.
  • Regular reviews and support from your College Assessor.
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) workbook.
  • Functional skills in maths and/or English - if applicable and depending on your prior attainments.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is a possibility that after completion of this apprenticeship it could lead to a full time position, however, this is not guaranteed.
