What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties:
•Reading and understanding working drawings as part of the production process
•Operation of various types of machinery, both semi-automated and manual saws, CNC, and air tools
•Cutting, milling, and drilling of aluminium, timber, and PVC components
•Accurate completion of associated paperwork and record keeping
•Ensure smooth and efficient throughput
•Daily cleaning and light maintenance of machinery area
•Carry out periodic audit and quality control checks
•Liaising with other internal departments
•Adhere to health and safety procedures within the working environment. Safety footwear is required, all other PPE will be issued in line with company policy.
•Any other duties as and when required or subject to business requirements
Fabricator
Accountabilities:
Working within a busy roof assembly department creating flatpack roof kits for supply to trade to right quality and on time.
Duties:
•Reading and understanding working drawings as part of the fabrication process
•Drilling, positioning and assembly of aluminium, timber, and PVC components
•Dry build assembly of roofs within production area, checking of sizes and measurements to drawing
•Safe use of various types of hand air tools, saws etc.
•Ensure smooth and efficient throughput
•Daily cleaning and light maintenance of working area
•Carry out periodic audit and quality control checks
•Liaising with other internal departments
•Adhere to health and safety procedures within the working environment. Safety footwear is required, all other PPE will be issued in line with company policy.
•Any other duties as and when required or subject to business requirements.

Intermediate Level 2 Apprentice Lean Manufacturing Operative, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English. Work based learning.
