Apprentice bench joiner required for a well-established joinery business working in a modern workshop, with a highly skilled versatile team. The applicant will experience a wide variety of bespoke joinery including cabinetry, windows, doors, stairs amongst other items with no two weeks or projects being the same.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The applicant will learn all aspects of bespoke joinery including:
- Machining
- Assembly
- Site installation including setting out
- Reading drawings with an involvement in glass
- Ironmongery and finishes
You will work closely with our production manager and the other joiners in the team to develop your skills further.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer
- Day release during term time (approximately 1 day per week for 18 months)
- Approximately 5 on-site assessment visits per year
- Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
- Off the job training will count for at least 20% of an apprentice’s time at work
Qualifications included:
- Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths
End Point Assessment:
- Multiple choice knowledge test
- Practical test
- Professional discussion based on a portfolio of evidence
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- This role may become permanent for the right candidate with lots of potential for future career progression and personal development. There may also be the opportunity to progress onto a more advanced level apprenticeship
