What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be learning from onsite mentors, giving you full support to achieve your qualification, assisting financial advisers with researching, analysing, and preparing financial reports for clients.

This role will include the following duties:

  • Maintain and oversee all areas of the client management ensuring client service and review meetings are achieved in line requirements
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, third party providers via post, email, virtual meetings, and telephone
  • Respond to and follow up all client enquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Ensure that client transaction records are up to date and logged on Intelligent Office CRM system
  • Proofreading communications, document creation, producing meeting packs, presentations, and reports
  • Diary management for advisors, including client appointment booking
  • Qualifying all leads to ensure advisers have the best possible information before making client contact
  • Produce suitability letters, cash ISAs, ISA transfers and client suitability review letters
  • Chase pipeline business through to completion
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Ensure other team members are sufficiently briefed on administration tasks to cover periods of annual leave and sickness
  • Keep up to date with and adhere to current relevant legislation including but not limited to Data Protection (GDPR), the FCA and Health & Safety
  • To always maintain client confidentiality
  • Assisting with marketing campaigns and events
  • Uphold the company values and support the development of a culture that emphasises quality, continuous improvement, and high performance

  • Fully and part funded learning and development programme that includes the Certificate in Financial Services
  • Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Paraplanners
  • Free CII membership for non-members through the CII Aspire Apprenticeship Programme for those who have not been a paid member before
  • Includes study book and exam entry for each CII exam

The Certificate in Financial Services includes:

  • R01 Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics
  • CF1 can be delivered instead of R01, depending on circumstances
  • R02 Investment Principles and Risk
  • R03 Personal Taxation
  • J09 Paraplanning
  • Fortnightly workshops for each R0 exam
  • All workshops recorded and available on-demand
  • Interactive chat, forums and class note books for real time support and assistance from experienced financial services professionals
  • Additional resources through RM Advance
  • Regular tutorials and assessments from an experienced financial services professional

Working in a small, experienced team working from a town centre office. Our 3 directors have a combined experience within financial services industry of 45yrs advising their clients on a face-to-face basis to optimise their financial aspiration and objectives. In November 2018 the three directors decided to join forces to form Waveney Valley Independent Financial Advisors LTD which gave the opportunity to pool their experience and individual expertise with the financial services profession.
