  • VHF licence
  • Manufacturers’ technical training including market leaders Raymarine and Garmin
  • Student membership of IMarEST (the marine industry professional body)
  • On successful completion of End Point Assessment apprentices are Eng.Tech ready
  • Sponsored to complete Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award (voluntary)

About the employer

BERTHON work across defence, commercial and leisure marine sectors. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced team working on service, refit, repair and new installation projects encompassing main engines, generators, propulsion systems, domestic and ancillary systems, pipefitting, hydraulics, fabricating and welding, on private luxury yachts, naval and commercial contracts.
