What will the apprentice be doing?

Finance & Accounting

  • To ensure accurate and complete processing and recording in all Sales administrative matters.
  • To ensure all cars are invoiced and taxed on time.
  • To account for and properly analyse all cash receipts and payments.
  • To ensure that accounting and administrative records are accurately maintained, updated daily and a control system.
  • To be fully aware of the petty cash handling and credit procedures and to report any discrepancies to your Line Manager immediately.

Customer Service & Satisfaction

  • Ensure that all queries in relation to customer receipts are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all incoming customer accounts queries and disputes are dealt with expeditiously.

Communication & Interaction

  • Maintain effective liaison with Dealership Management and other Administrative Staff.
  • Ensure good customer contact.
  • Be able to communicate courteously and efficiently with customers on the telephone or in the dealer and respond to their needs.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.

This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated a tutor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.

Once you commence at the Retailer, further induction training will be supplied by the Retailer. You will also receive visits and other training from the Learning Skills Partnership representative. Please note that the wage does vary depending on age, see further details below: Candidates aged Under 18 £4.81 per hour (£192.40 per week) Candidates aged 18-20 £6.83 per hour (£273.20 per week) Candidates aged 21-22 £9.18 per hour (£367.20 per week) Candidates aged 23+ £9.50 per hour (£380 per week). These hourly rates are significantly higher the National Apprenticeship Rate and would continue to increase as you are progressing within this exciting company.
