What will the apprentice be doing?
The apprentice will be dealing with all aspects of the daily education, welfare, and safety of the children under their career. Specific tasks would include:
- Learning about the role of a nursery practitioner in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Planning and undertaking of educational activities for the children in accordance with the school curriculum and EYFS guidelines
- Helping feed the children during mealtimes.
- Doing regular cleaning and nappy changing of the children
- Keeping the environment safe for the children
- Speaking to parents about the daily activities of the children
Keeping the classroom and changing areas hygienic and safe
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
- The training will take place in the form of day release
- The apprentice will undergo 4 days of workplace training, with 1 day of day release training at the college provider
- Apprentices must successfully complete the apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework
- Functional skills if required
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- The apprentice normally joins our full-time team on successful completion of the course.
