What will the apprentice be doing?

Reporting to the Workshop Manager

Main Duties;

Have an interest in maintenance engineering.

A willingness to learn and learn from others.

A basic electrical work and knowledge of PLC control systems would be advantageous but not essential, training will be provided.

Will gain experience of conducting repairs efficiently and effectively and be willing to implement skills learnt.

Will understand the need to react to breakdowns to minimise down time.

Will carry out preventative maintenance tasks on machines that are not running using a Pre-Planned-Maintenance schedule tool to record all tasks completed, once reached required level.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician - Level 3 Apprentice Standard.

Includes End Point Assessment.

1 day per week at Olive Grove Campus Engineering Centre in term time.
