What will the apprentice be doing?

Lynchpin Media is a global media house that publishes technology insights on various digital platforms across Africa, APAC, Europe, the Middle East, South and North America. The company is seen as a leading publisher of industry news and intelligence content for IT professionals. We provide our staff with the platform to express themselves in a relaxed, team-based environment. 

We are seeking a Content Creator to assist with the production of both original and submitted editorial content for clients.

The role will involve creating and managing a range of content including written articles and video, as well as exploring opportunities for new content. Much of your time will be spent editing articles and applying the company’s style guide and you will have the opportunity to help develop and execute the strategic content strategy, to further expand the services offered by the team.

  • Working with the team to develop ideas for content
  • Creating videos for clients and the company
  • Creating promotional images for the company
  • Understanding and keeping yourself up to date on style guides and branding documents
  • Helping distribute and upload content onto website, social media and other channels
  • You will be working closely with the company’s Editorial Director, Managing Editors and Editorial Co-Ordinator
  • You will be required to attend industry events
  • You will be providing support to two busy departments and will need to be able to work quickly and accurately

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Digital Content Creator - Level 3 standard

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.

Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training.

Things to consider

This is a remote position but the company would appreciate if you are located close to the main hub as there could be team meetings and sessions in person. This is based in Hereford. We have placed a central Hereford address on this description. This is not near their offices it is for reference.
