What will the apprentice be doing?

You’ll develop the ability to work from engineering drawings and technical data to produce a huge variety of components used primarily in the power and energy industry. You’ll develop health & safety awareness throughout the programme and support the business as it drives towards a zero harm culture. Skills you will learn include -  T.I.G, M.I.G & M.M.A welding, fabrication, fitting, testing, machining, quality inspection/assurance, industrial engineering & design.   

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The Level 3 Engineering Fitter Standard is delivered through one day a week training at Basingstoke College and work place training and reviews with WBTC
  • Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
  • The apprentice would achieve the Level 3  Engineering Fitter Standard

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
