    Pay rate based on basic 39 hour week. Overtime paid at time and a half. Discretionary profit share scheme and length of service award.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Assisting welders & learning how to Mig/Tig weld various materials, learning how to clean these items to customers’ requirements. Assisting laser operator  Assisting punch operator  Assisting press operator  Assisting machine shop drilling, tapping, countersinking, milling, turning inserting & sawing  Assisting security door team to assemble, wrap & pack Assist security department with engraving, stud welding & various assembly duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • General Welder Level 2
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The potential of a full-time role for the right candidate. Benefits include company pension, 20 days holiday in the 1st year and 25 days in the following years (plus bank holidays), death in service and a sick pay policy. Overtime could be available and would be paid at time and a half.
