What will the apprentice be doing?

Tasks and duties will include:

  • Service and repair equipment in line with service schedule and in response to breakdowns on production lines
  • Working with our maintenance manager to learn the skills needed and gain training needed on the machinery in use
  • Observing and learning whilst on the job to complete maintenance needed and to document records logging times spent and machines repaired or serviced
  • To be part of a maintenance team available to attend production lines as needed to keep production flowing and remedy equipment issues as they occur

About the employer

Wicks Manor produced bacon, ham and sausages from our farm reared pork which is fed on home grown wheat and barley milled and crushed on the farm. We run busy production lines producing for UK multiples regionally, nationally for foodservice and export a quarter of our production to the far and middle east. All production is based on the farm at Wicks Manor.
