What will the apprentice be doing?
The job role will provide exposure to:
- Drilling
- Cutting and Welding
- Following setting out and builders drawings to produce finished work. Some site work is involved.
- The candidate will be the 3rd member of the fabrication team, so will initially work with one or other of the existing staff members before moving on to their own projects as their skills increase.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- In addition to the training within the working environment, you will be required to attend South Devon College one day per week for the duration of the course to support with the knowledge required from the apprenticeship standard.
- Level 2 General Welding
- 1 day a week in college
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion of the apprenticeship there may be an opportunity to secure a permanent position within the organisation
