What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Closing files in our Document Processing System (DPS) and preparing files for storage
  • Filing e-mails, letters, and attendance notes electronically via DPS and on paper file
  • Obtaining quotes and timescales from experts
  • Completing drug test referral forms
  • Filing Court documents through the Court On-Line portal
  • Processing legal aid payments on account applications
  • Completing applications for Legal Aid Certificate amendments
  • Inputting new client information into DPS and file opening
  • Initial Legal Aid applications
  • Initial client telephone calls

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Complete a Business Administrator level 3 
  • One day fortnightly day release at Telford College 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is an opportunity to fulfill a paralegal role in the future if the apprentice shows potential and willing.
