What will the apprentice be doing?
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Assemble components by welding them together
- Ensure finished welds are of a good standard and the required size
- Use a variety of tools, welding equipment and overhead traveling cranes
- Implementation and adhering to all health and safety policies
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful applicant will be working towards an Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding, on completion of the apprenticeship they will have gained a Metal Fabricator Level 3 qualification. This will include a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge), Technical Certificate and Functional Skills.
Please be aware you will be working in the company and will also be required to attend Alliance Learning for the Block release training.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of the Apprenticeship the applicant would then have the opportunity to progress within the business to gain a higher status level.
