What will the apprentice be doing?

At Little Rainbows a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice is required for this busy open plan day nursery.

You will be trained up in all aspects of the Level 2 Qualification including:

  • Toileting
  • Feeding
  • Planning activities
  • Doing risk assessments
  • Telling stories
  • Reading
  • Counting
  • Safeguarding Children
  • Communicating with team and children and parents

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Rainbows will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Little Rainbow's dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Once qualified will progress onto Level 3 Childcare or Leadership and Supervision Level 3
