What will the apprentice be doing?
- Review and validate user/business/system stories and requirements
- Translate the requirements to a series of tests designed to identify defects and malfunctions
- Develop test environments and scenario driven test cases (automated and manual)
- Executing all levels of testing, such as system, integration and regression
- Regularly run tests during the various implementation stages
- Analyse test results and detect potential issues
- Suggest fixes, improvements and recommendations
- Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation, plans, and reports as requested
- Build automated testing systems for regular checks
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers

- Design and prepare test plans and conduct software testing as appropriate to ensure your software is fit for purpose
- Collect and interpret the results of testing and make appropriate recommendations
- Understand the software lifecycle and apply software development practices
- Document and report test results
- Store, manage and share test data in a secure manner
