What will the apprentice be doing?
Day to day duties will include:
- To complete a programme of 'on-the-job' training in a workshop, technical and commercial. Broad based knowledge of the business, systems and processes
- To embrace and play a pro-active role in SPS systems and activities to support improvement projects
- Play an active role in maintaining appropriate 5 S standards which involve; improved health and safety, quality, working environment and site appearance
- Work in a safe manner, showing due regard for own and others safety in line with Schneider Electric policies
- Adherence to Schneider Electric processes and procedures in all aspects of work
- To assist in the training and development of others as appropriate
- To provide instruction and advice commensurate with training completed
- To communicate and liaise with other functions by working as a team.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will work towards achieving a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard (Mechatronics Maintenance) including the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering
Off-the-job training will take place at Derwent Training, Malton one day a week.
