We are looking for a Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Apprentice to join our team, based in London. The successful candidate will work towards an apprenticeship whilst being able to contribute their ideas to the work we do, supporting our Rail business and learning from more experienced Health, Safety & Environment professionals. You will assist in carrying out field inspections, reports and follow-up of corrective actions.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist the HSS manager in providing the material for the induction and trainings

  • Assist in producing minutes of safety meetings with contractors

  • Assist in reporting incidents in Horace

  • Assist in producing statistics for the monthly report

  • Assist in carrying out field inspections, reports and follow-up of corrective actions

  • Assist in developing digital solutions for HSS on site

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Working towards the Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Safety, Health and Environment Technician over 2 years. We will expect that you undertake day release at an external provider, however this will be confirmed nearer the time.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You will be consider for a higher level qualification or a permanent role (opportunity dependant).
