What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the brewery. The role will involve a lot of hard work and we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a passion for beer and developing themselves.
The candidate must be able to work as a member of a team and also work under their own initiative. Previous experience would be favourable in brewing however hard work and passion is more important. Day to day contact will be with the Head brewer and an assistant brewer.
Duties include: -
General brewery work assisting head brewer including but not limited to:
Production and storage of beer
Contract bottling of beer
Any other reasonable duties with the scope of your ability
Maintain a clean and safe environment within the workplace
Work in a safe manner with consideration of other employees’ safety
Follow all relevant procedures
Report any safety concerns regarding plant, process or property
Work in accordance with the principles of HACCP
Marketing and sales support including outside events, web site content, merchandise, brochures etc
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will Recieve all training at the work place in Reepham and they may be required to attend South green Park in Mattishall.The apprentice will be allowed some hours within work time each week to study towards the apprenticeship Diploma. The Apprenticeship Standard is a Level 2 Food and Drinks Operator.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Potential full time employment upon completition of the apprenticeship.
