What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be working for an established company based in our Plympton office where you will learn how to support the day to day delivery of our Sales plan.  Tasks will vary but will include;

  • Assist with answering incoming telephone calls
  • You will learn how to make outbound calls in response to customer enquiries and appointment making
  • You will be involved with raising quotations and purchase orders for new and existing customers
  • Assisting on supporting Sales office staff but in a customer support/administration capacity
  • Assisting with customer enquiries both over the telephone and through email/website contact
  • Maintaining accurate sales information for monthly updates
  • Supporting any other business/sales tasks as necessary


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Full Customer Service Practitioner Standard - Level 2
  • On the job training to support role development
  • Off the job training (College attendance) to support qualification
  • Employer to offer dedicated training time to support Off The Job training requirements
  • Functional Skills support (maths/English) - if required

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is the possibility of other employment/progression opportunities available upon successful completion of the Level 2 qualification.
