    38 Hours a week 5 Days - negotiable Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm All apprentices must work at least 30 hours per week and no more than 40 hours if they are aged 16-18. Apprentices that are 19 or older can work above 40 hours per week.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To assist in the organisation of areas specified in order to support, challenge and extend a child’s care and learning
  • Assist in maintaining a consistent daily routine to ensure that children have opportunities for individual and group activities
  • Maintain respectful and genuine interaction with children
  • Take part in meetings in order to assist in long, medium and short term planning
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Recognise, record and report any child protection issues according to internal procedures
  • Pay due regard to health and safety issue
  • Work within the Kindergarten’s policies and procedures
  • Work under the supervision of Room Leaders and Managers
  • Supervise toileting, hand washing
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Assist in outings
  • Assist in other duties as requested by supervisors

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Paediatric first aid qualification.

 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We are able to offer employment after completion of the apprenticeship to a suitable candidate.
