What will the apprentice be doing?

Job title: Accounts assistant

Reporting to: Financial Accounting Manager on a day-to-day basis and ultimately to the Finance Director


  • Preparation of payment runs for overseas subsidiary.
  • Processing of overseas sale ledger receipts.
  • Preparation of VAT returns (non UK).
  • Process journals for overseas branches.
  • Assist with the cashflow forecasting.
  • Prepare the journals for overseas recharges.
  • Prepare and upload the forecasts / budget for a number of the smaller overseas entities.
  • Other duties as the role requires.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the full AAT Level 3 qualification.

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.
