What will the apprentice be doing?
- Our Water Recyling Network Apprentice’s respond to the wide range of issues that occur on our sewer network, including blockages, odours, flooding and pollution incidents.
- Our Water Recycling Technicians also look after planned maintenance to protect people’s homes and local watercourses
- They are part of a team who are first responders to any incidents that may affect the environment.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As a Level 3 Water Recycling Technician Apprentice, you’ll train to become a fully qualified Water Recycling Technician within our Water Recycling team. As part of your apprenticeship, you will spend 24 months training and learning. This will be through a mixture of classroom study 1 week every month and the rest of the time there will be on-the-job training as you work towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
All apprentices are guranteed a full-time job in their specific field of expertise (subject to performance and behavioural reviews).
