What will the apprentice be doing?
- Receiving and processing purchase invoices in the finance system
- Posting authorised invoices ready for payment
- Reconciling statements
- Supplier and customer account checking and set up
- Opportunity for varying tasks will be given to support completion of apprenticeship
- To provide cover for sickness and annual leave for other posts within the finance department
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend College every Tuesday evening in Boston or Spalding. Alternatively, if you would prefer to attend during the day this will be 10am – 1pm, Thursday in Boston only. The structure of this apprenticeship allows students to achieve the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Advanced Diploma in Accounting. On successful completion, you will achieve a level 3 qualification.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The skills and knowledge you will gain throughout this apprenticeship will qualify you for roles including Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant and Bookkeeper. You will also be eligible for AAT Bookkeeper (AATQB) status, giving you the option to work as a freelance bookkeeper.
