What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Support the delivery of the responsibilities of the Facilities Services function in complying with health and safety and other legislation and organisational policies and procedures
  • Address facilities management related risks, hazards and threats to people, property and premises
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure the effective delivery of a range of facilities services
  • Support good sustainable practice in facilities management
  • Maintain soft facilities management services
  • Gather facilities management related information for continuous improvement purposes
  • Support hard facilities management functions
  • Maintain and develop competence in the facilities management industry/sector
  • Assist with coordinating and planning essential business services such as maintenance, cleaning and waste disposal; along with other key business service activities
  • Support the delivery of facilities management projects
  • Ensure the PPE mandate is adhered to by all teams
  • Assist in ensuring the overall compliance of the sites, including preparation and participation in technical and quality audits and completion of any corrective actions according to timescales set
  • Ensuring that the buildings and facilities meet the required health and safety requirements
