What will the apprentice be doing?

This is an opportunity to learn at the heart of the operations department of the TLS Group. TLS is a market leading support service within the Highways Industry as well as operating with Construction and also Logistics as supplier of labour.

The operations administration apprentice role will be a diverse and interesting role being part of an out going and fun operations team. As a company TLS believes very much in team work ethics and learning. As a company which has further growth plans, TLS can provide a perfect environment for apprentices that want to progress their career with us.

 

  • Updating our bespoke Fastlane online software with operatives information
  • Working on training matrix updating
  • Assisting in co-ordinating inductions and onboarding of operatives.
  • Communicating with suppliers and operatives on email and phone.
  • Being the admin back up to the operations consultants in the team.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will complete your apprenticeship at Doncaster College (The Hub, Chappell Dr, Doncaster DN1 2RF)
  • The learning will be delivered via day release, one day a week.
  • Business Administration Apprentice, Level 3

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Career progression would be into an operations administrator to being with. Then an opportunity to move into the operations in a consultant or supervisor role becoming involved in the booking of works and operatives with our clients. TLS encourage advancement within, we would love to see our apprentices develop through into regional operations managers over the years.
  • There are also other departments to look at on career progression such as finance, fleet, payroll.
