What will the apprentice be doing?
- To be a physical activity role model for students in the academy.
- To support teachers whilst they deliver PE lessons.
- To lead and support physical activities and sport activities in the extra-curricular programme including breakfast clubs, lunchtimes and after the academy day.
- To support the Director of Sport and Vocational Health & Education with day to day management tasks. e.g. administrative, noticeboards, equipment, management of teams at competitions on and off the school site.
- To lead and support other physical activity projects (as identified by the academy) to encourage more children to be physically active. e.g. delivery of targeted activities, developing young people as leaders, developing school to community links, personal challenge activities, organise & deliver lunchtime activities, youth sports forums.
- To provide other support in classroom settings as determined by the Academy
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- To train for Level 3 Teaching Assistant standard and work with the Priory Apprenticeships to support coursework assignments and observations, ensuring that all deadlines are met

- Level 1/2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
