As an apprentice at AEUK you will be helping our teams from your very first day working on AEUK products in a number of different environments and locations. You will be supported with the necessary training to provide you with the skills and experience to become a future technical leader and Chartered Engineer. Service and maintenance of a variety of ATLAS ELEKTRONIK UK equipment and products on and off-site.

Annual wage
£18,500.00
The salary for our apprenticeship scheme is determined by level. Starting salary for Levels 2-3 is £16,000 and Levels 4+ is £18,500. All apprentices receive a 2nd year salary increase to £18,500 for Levels 2-3 and Levels 4+ to £20,000 pa.

Working week
At Atlas Elektronik we work flexibily, allowing start times from 0700-0930, and finish times from 1530 (Mon-Thurs) and 1200 (Fri). Our working week is 37 hours.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Under the supervision of highly skilled team you will become competent in the following:
- Field Service Support of In-Service equipment in the United Kingdom (UK) and worldwide
- Survey and repair of AEUK products / equipment at AEUK premises
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance, operation and fault finding (high and low pressure)
- Mechanical assemble and installations
- Mechanical survey and repairs
- Electrical survey and repairs
- Electrical and electronics
- Fault finding
- PCB architecture (optional)
- Service and maintenance of a variety of ATLAS ELEKTRONIK UK equipment and products on and off-site
- Provide Technical Helpdesk Support
You may be asked to undertake tasks which requires you to develop knowledge across multiple disciplines so that you are able to play a key role in the integration and testing of our world leading products.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will obtain a Manufacturing engineer Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) with Bournemouth and Poole College through day release once a week.
We also offer the opportunity to complete further qualifications should you want to continue your studies.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
In any of these roles you will be supported with the necessary training and development to provide you with the skills and experience to become a future technical leader and Chartered Engineer. You can help drive forward AEUK’s exciting engineering product development and contribute directly to UK national defence.
