Apprentice Commis Chef The Rest and Be Thankful
We are looking for an apprentice to work alongside our chef. To take responsibility for cooking dishes and plating dishes for our customers. There will be a variety of tasks to do during the shift such as the preparation of starters/desserts/sandwiches as well as assisting the main chef in making /creating dishes. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to earn a salary and gain a level 2 qualification.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Working week
There will be mix of lunch shifts and evening shifts. It will definitely include weekends. Morning/lunch shift starts at 9.30am/10am - 2.30pm/3pm Evening shift starts at 4.30pm- 9pm but maybe later depending on bookings. All TBC.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard - Commis Chef:
- Level 2 Commis Chef - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Functional skills at level 1 and/or 2 in English and maths as required (exemptions apply)
The successful candidate will also need to complete a diagnostic assessment, which will help us plan the appropriate support required to meet your individual needs.
Training will be a day release at the Taunton Campus of Bridgwater and Taunton College.
