What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Work with and care for pupils from reception to year 6.
  • Work alongside class teacher to support chidren with engaging in class activities
  • Supervising children during break period
  • Assist with special activities in the school within school hours (e.g. sports days, open days, plays, concerts)
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality, child protection and Health & Safety
  • Understand how pupils learn and develop
  • Contribute to the health and well being of pupils
  • Ensure pupils use technology safely
  • Understand school policies and procedures and understand current statutory guidance including “Keeping children safe in education” Part 1
