What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will actively participate in the daily operation of the kitchen under the direction of the Chef. You will assist with the preparation and cooking of 400 nutritious hot meals for students.
Cooking duties will include preparing food to suit specific dietary, religious and allergenic needs, using various kitchens tools and learning to use specialist equipment correctly and safely.
You will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the packing of meals onto trolleys for delivery to the various sites.
You will have a responsibility to comply with hygiene and safety regulations, keeping the work area clean and tidy and to attend training sessions as required.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
