What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be one of the team, providing care and learning experiences for our children aged 2-5.  You will be supported through all areas of training, from practical care through to observations and learning journeys.  We are a child led setting where we are guided by the children's interests and we will help you learn how to pick up on cues from the children and extend their learning. We will also provide training in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding, among many other topics.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be working towards your Level 3 Early Years Educator, with training by an external assessor. You will be working at our purpose built building by the woods in Chandlers Ford.  All course work is online and an external assessor will come in to nursery regularly to help and guide you.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A Level 3 Early Years Educator is your "license to practise", which means you can be counted in ratio in an early years setting and have key children in your care. There are opportunities to progress within the company, as Level 3 also allows you to take on a management role. You can also take on specialist roles such as SENCO. The EYE L3 can also lead to support roles in schools, such as TA's, or a residential childcare worker, and is the basis for degree courses to progress further.

We are open 8am - 6pm, all year round. We believe children make the greatest progress when fully absorbed and enjoying what they are doing. This is why PLAY is at the centre of everything we do! Our aim is to nurture through nature, providing a homely, caring environment in which children can explore, play and learn in a safe, secure space. We want children to feel happy and included, and give them the confidence to try things out and gain independence through gentle encouragement and support.
