What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Supporting all school activities both in the classroom and in any extended provision

  • A minimum of six hours independent study needs to take place at a venue to be agreed with the employer on the alternate week

About the employer

Creech St Michael Primary School isn't far from Taunton itself, but set in delightful grounds. You would not know from looking at the front of the school, just how fortunate we are to enjoy lots of open space at the back. We have a wild area to take part in “forest school” activities and a “super grounds” area where the children can explore and play. Our large field allows a variety of outdoor sports to take place. The staff are friendly and hardworking you will be supported through your apprenticeship. They work very effectively as a team and contribute enormously to the happy environment that we have. They plan a range of activities and learning experiences to suit the range of abilities and interests of the children. They strive to support each child to develop academically, socially and emotionally. We have a strong tradition for our high standard of music and are increasingly promoting a variety of sporting opportunities that the children are taking up with enthusiasm
