What will the apprentice be doing?

Every day will be different and present varying opportunities, however your duties and responsibilities are likely to include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Supervise and monitor the safety of the children within your care
  • Prepare meals and snacks
  • Create and participate in games
  • Read stories to the children
  • Feed and change babies
  • Carry out Observations on the children
  • Implement and support the EYFS
  • Attend team meetings and additional training when required

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

Paediatric first aid Training.

Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.

The training will be through Winnovation who will visit the setting and carry out assessments.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Apprentices with Dinotots are ordinarily offered a continuing role within the setting once the course is completed entering our setting as a qualified Early Years Educator.
