What will the apprentice be doing?
You will learn how to plan and implement inclusive play, promote speech, language and communication development and ensure that everything you do is in line with safeguarding and equality policies and procedures. You will also learn how to use reflective practice to get the most from your own continuous professional development.
Your roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
- To ensure that the nursery is a clean, safe environment for children, staff and others.
- To follow the training and guidance to safeguard the children at all times.
- Developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
- To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact. This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study. This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 18 month apprenticeship you will have gained; a First Aid and Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

At the end of a successful apprenticeship Barnardo’s will endeavour to find an appropriate role employment within the organisation or as part of our Talent Pool Agency to help find suitable employment.
