What will the apprentice be doing?

As ‘Commis Chef’ you’ll be behind the scenes, delivering on our mission!

You’ll be delivering attentive customer focused service, understand brand standards and enjoy working as part of a successful team.

You will have knowledge and experience in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes and high standards when it comes to the maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Every day you will be:

  • Providing great customer service
  • Involved in the preparation, cooking and presentation of outstanding food
  • Working as part of a great team
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and food safety
  • Available to work when the customer needs you

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to study the following through this Apprenticeship:

  • Apprenticeship in Commis Chef Level 2
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  • English and maths if required
  • Complete an End Point Assessment

At Havant & South Downs College we offer different methods of Apprenticeship delivery either work based or day release. This will be discussed with you upon appointment.
