An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Engineer at CSD, an excellent opportunity to progress and grow within the company. The purpose of the role is to carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of fire detection / alarm, intruder alarm, access control, CCTV and audio / visual systems.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties to include:
- Installing cabling (1st fix) to relevant standards
- Drilling holes / using a cordless drill and a range of hand tools
- Mounting and connecting equipment (2nd fix)
- Commissioning, testing, fault finding
- Reactive and Preventative Maintenance
- Liaising with site personnel
- Updating site paperwork - work sheets and handover documentation
- Following health and safety guidelines
Applicants should have good IT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Driving licence and access to your own transport is required for this role. Probationary period applies.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Level 3 apprenticeship standard - will attend weekly day release at our Team Valley training centre.
