What will the apprentice be doing?

o   Perform data entry of Invoices/Credits for General Ledger

o   Liaise with Branches/sites to consolidate Company Credit Cards

o   Ensure Overhead invoices are processed with appropriate authorisation

o   Set up and Maintain Suppliers

o   Action all mail on a daily basis from online Scanning centre (EDM)

o   Perform Statement reconciliations

o   Ensure Credit Balances are chased for refunds

o   Complete Credit Application Forms

o   Invoice Matching (cover)

o   Scanning/uploading onto AX system

o   Carry out Miscellaneous Duties

Main Objectives:

Efficiently and effectively help the Accounts Department with day-to-day tasks.

Working closely with the accounts team, liaising with Branches/Sites and Purchasing Departments to ensure all data is correct.


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

AAT Level 2

1 day release at Dudley College 

4 days Placement at Monks and Crane

You will learn how to prepare and record transactions in a manual and computerised double entry bookkeeping system to trial balance, how to prepare basic management information both manually and using IT and will be given an introduction to basic costing principles.
