What will the apprentice be doing?
- Ensure the needs of the whole child are met with regards to the children as individuals
- Ensure the Nursery offers a high standard of daily care and education to the children in compliance with the Children's Act 1989 and working towards the EYFS framework
- Contribute towards the maintenance of Health and Safety standards and general cleanliness/hygiene in the nursery
- Ensure the children are disciplined in line with the Nurseries Discipline Policy
- Act in a professional manner at all times, particularly whilst dealing with parents and visitors
- Contribute to teamwork and attend staff meetings on a voluntary basis
- To support all colleagues, officer, deputy and manager in the day to day functioning of the nursery
- These duties will be carried out in compliance with the Equal Opportunities Policy at all times
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will be required to complete an Apprenticeship in Early Years Practitioner Standard and may have to complete Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths. Peadiatric Frist Aid will be inculded and training will be provided on a weekly basis.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Possible permanent position available once training is complete and progression to Early Years Educator qualification.
