What will the apprentice be doing?
MAIN ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the delivery of our coaching programme in schools
- To plan and deliver sessions in accordance with the sessions plans
- To identify and meet the needs of the participants
- To maintain discipline and safety during sessions
- To complete the appropriate evaluation and feedback forms including attendance registers and assessment sheets
- Attend and complete coaching courses
- Assist with the co-ordination of children’s holiday activities
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The programme will consist of online learning, webinars, practical workshops and workplace visits from a tutor.
On completion, you will achieve a level 2 community activator coach qualification. As well as:
- Opportunities to gain National Governing Body Coaching Awards
- Functional Skills in maths and English Level 2 (if required)
- Opportunities to attend additional qualifications (such as first aid etc)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Full time position with Sport2day
- Further apprentice training level 3 or 4
- Progression to subject leader or area manager positions
