What will the apprentice be doing?
As a customer service practitioner you will be expected to complete a variety of important tasks on a day-to-day basis.
These include:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Provide a standard of service that reflects the company corporate image
- Ensure customers are attended to with an efficient and courteous service
- First point of contact as a chemist counter assistant
- Respond quickly and efficiently to all enquiries
- General clerical duties
- Serving customers
- Cash handling and using till
- Serving and assisting customers
- Deal with deliveries and orders
- Stock control and stocktaking
- Deal with enquiries in the shop and via the telephone
- Learning product lines
- Pricing of stock
- Upselling of products and services
- Estimating, pricing and follow up of quotes
- Tidying and keeping shop and work areas clean
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner standard.
The learner will be awarded a level 2 qualification upon completion which is the equivalent to a GCSE C grade. The majority of the learners training will take place on site with the employer and will include face-to-face training as well as landline training.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
If the learner completes their apprenticeship to an expected standard of the employer, they may be offered a full-time role within the business.
