What will the apprentice be doing?
To work with policy owners to draft, monitor and review policies for timely submission for Foundation/Academy Trust Board approval.
· To maintain easily accessible and auditable records.
· To work with Academy-based staff to ensure any remedial action is undertaken promptly in response to risk and compliance issues.
· To ensure that all entities of the Foundation and Academy Trust have up-to-date and compliant policies on their websites.
· To support the DPO and DPL in resolving data related queries
· To work with schools to conduct policy, control, and data audits, also working to centrally document incidents
· To support the Insurance and Compliance Officer with claims and renewals
· To support the Foundation and Academy Trust’s approach to risk management and utilisation of the GRC-One risk management system
· To contribute to relevant committees and working groups.
· To play a full part in the life of the academies’ communities and support the Academy Trust ethos. · To work flexibly and support occasional evening and weekend events, the annual Entrance Test and to participate fully in academy life.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As an apprentice the successful candidate will spend 80% of their time on the job and 20% working towards a fully funded Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship. The course duration is 16 months and level 4 is the equivalent of a foundation degree.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Permanent role upon successful completion.
