What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties will include:
- Performing the duties of a Service Receptionist; dealing with customers, in person, by phone and by email
- Contacting customers with appointment dates and outcomes of the repair process
- Liaising with customers recording and sending compliance documentation
- Assisting Workshop Manager with the daily running of both workshops
- Scheduling and booking MOT’s
- Entering details on job cards for technicians and ordering parts from suppliers
- Checking statements in preparation for supplier payments
This is a diverse role that would suit someone who is organised and works well under pressure. The Service Dept is busy with a vast range of related admin, so each day would be different. It would suit someone with an inquisitive mind who likes to see jobs through to a successful close.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.
This apprenticeship consists of a mixture of off the job training and on the job mentoring and development within the workplace:
- Where a business administrator has not already achieved Level 2 English and maths, they must do so before taking the End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- This will be delivered at Cornwall College St Austell
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Following a successful apprenticeship, it is hoped that the candidate will continue in this position, developing and establishing their role within the department and the company.
