What you will do in your working day

The successful candidate will be working in the lock assembly workshop.

Duties will include:

  • Processing of goods in and out
  • Packing of items
  • Stock control using modular software package
  • Earning assembly processes and assembling cylinder locks
  • Use of Silica stamping machine and key cutting equipment
  • Packaging using manual equipment

The training you will be getting

Apprenticeship training will be provided by In-Comm Training Services Limited, and the qualifications include:

  • An NVQ Level 2 in Warehouse and Storage
  • Functional Skills in English and maths
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Workbook

Things to consider

An assessor from In-Comm Training will visit the successful candidate once a month, at company, in order to deliver the qualification. The candidate will also attend In-Comm for ad-hoc block release training, so please ensure you are happy to travel to our site at WS9 8UG

They offer a complete and free scheduling service to architects and design build contractors and give a fast and efficient delivery service. They have an In-house locksmith department and produce locks, keys, door fittings, fire stays, floor springs and signs/nameplates -supplying hardware to hospitals, banks, office complexes, leisure facilities etc. They are pleased to be associated with the following manufacturers ASSA, RUKO, FLEXCORE, TWIN COMBI and YALE. All manufacturing procedures are controlled by their qualified staff, using a computerised master suiting schedule and modern key cutting equipment. This means that every key that they cut is an original and not a copy cut from an existing key.
