What will the apprentice be doing?
A full time apprenticeship with Schindler involves rotations across our business, focussing on:
- Service and Maintenance
- New Installations
- Modernisation
- Repairs
- Escalators
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Apprentices will follow a structured training programme which will lead to them becomming a fully qualified lift engineer
- The training will consist of on the job training with a rotation programme that ensures knowledge and skills are transferred from all business disciplines like service, repair, installations and modernisation
- The successful applicant will achieve an NVQ level 3 along with some lift specific distant learning units
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- At the end of the apprenticeship and upon successful graduation, you will become a fully qualified lift engineer. If at the time of graduation, a relevant position becomes available, you'll be offered the opportunity to join one of our Field Operation teams with the potential to further your development within Schindler
