What will the apprentice be doing?
Vital Carpentry is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice who is interested in pursuing a career in the Carpentry trade. The responsibilities will include working alongside the qualified Joiner – training how to:
1. Kitchen Fit
2. Make bespoke furniture and wardrobes
3. Door linings / Hanging
4. Flooring
5. Internal Studwork
6. 1st & 2nd fix carpentry
7. Maintenance applicable to the trade and day to day reactive maintenance
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Wood Occupations Site or Architectural (Bench) apprenticeship standard Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required) This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The possibility of a full time position upon completing the apprenticeship. Increased remuneration package and responsibilities.
