What will the apprentice be doing?
At Dovehaven, we are a family-owned care group providing quality residential and nursing care for the elderly.
Working for Dovehaven Care Group is a rewarding experience, you will build relationships with those in your care and see them thrive in a caring and friendly environment.
- As a care assistant, you will work together with other staff in the running of the home
- You will aim to maintain high standards of care and service towards service users, relatives, visitors, and other members of staff
- You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles
- Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Dovehaven will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day
- If successful, you will complete a Level 2 Adult Care Worker apprenticeship programme, delivered through Dovehaven’s dedicated training provider, Realise
- Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020
