What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be part of a small team within our workshop manufacturing hand-crafted wooden furniture.

This role involves lots of aspects of Joinery as our main material is Wood/Timber. You can expect to work with all hand-held tools and our larger plant machinery once you have been trained up.

Job roles include:

  • Preparing/machining wood
  • Furniture assembly
  • Maintaining machinery
  • Cleaning & keeping an organised workspace. 

Being in a small team, there are likely other duties required which includes:

  • Packaging for furniture to be shipped, preparing the kiln
  • Loading & unloading timbers
  • Moving material
  • Cleaning wood yard
  • Any other duties as required

  • Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional skills in maths and English if required
  • No day release element
